UNILORIN Aggregate Score Calculator
UNILORIN is reported to combine three parts: UTME worth 50 marks, the post-UTME test worth 30 and O'level grades worth 20.
How UNILORIN calculates your aggregate score
Aggregate = UTME ÷ 8 + post-UTME ÷ 100 × 30 + O'level points (out of 20). The weighting is UTME 50%, post-UTME 30%, O'level 20%.
- The UTME part is your JAMB score divided by 8 (out of 50).
- The post-UTME score is scaled to 30 marks. If your result is already out of 30, set "out of" to 30.
- O'level points are A1 = 4, B2 = 3.6, B3 = 3.2, C4 = 2.8, C5 = 2.4 and C6 = 2 for five subjects.
- For the 2025 exercise UNILORIN's own bulletin asked for a UTME score of at least 180.
UNILORIN aggregate score worked example
A candidate with 245 in UTME and 58 in the post-UTME test (out of 100) and O'level grades B2, B3, C4, B3, C5 scores:
- UTME: 245 ÷ 8 = 30.63 (out of 50)
- Post-UTME: 58 ÷ 100 × 30 = 17.4 (out of 30)
- O'level: B2 = 3.6, B3 = 3.2, C4 = 2.8, B3 = 3.2, C5 = 2.4 → total 15.2 (out of 20; A1 = 4 per subject)
- Aggregate = 30.63 + 17.4 + 15.2 = 63.23 out of 100
What aggregate score do I need for UNILORIN?
There is no single pass mark. After screening, UNILORIN publishes departmental cut-off marks for each course, and they change from year to year with the number of applicants. Competitive courses such as Medicine, Law, Nursing and Pharmacy always need a much higher aggregate than the general cut-off.
Enter last year's cut-off for your course as the target in the calculator to see the post-UTME score you would need to reach it.
Before you rely on the result
The University of Ilorin does not publish one fixed formula that stays the same every year. This calculator uses the method most widely reported for recent screening exercises. Compare it with the formula in UNILORIN's current post-UTME or screening notice, and if the weights differ, change them under "Change the formula" and the result updates.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the UNILORIN aggregate score calculated?
UNILORIN is reported to combine three parts: UTME worth 50 marks, the post-UTME test worth 30 and O'level grades worth 20. In short: Aggregate = UTME ÷ 8 + post-UTME ÷ 100 × 30 + O'level points (out of 20).
Does UNILORIN add O'level grades to the aggregate?
Yes. O'level grades are worth 20 of the 100 marks, so a better grade in each required subject raises your aggregate. Grades below C6 earn no points and usually mean you don't meet the course requirements.
How much does the UNILORIN post-UTME score count?
The post-UTME is worth 30 of the 100 marks. Each mark you gain in the test adds 0.3 to your aggregate, against 0.13 for each UTME mark.
